Tipperary County Councillors are calling on parties in Government talks to put insurance industry reform to the top of their agenda.
Councillors in the local authority passed the motion at their monthly meeting, which specifically highlighted the difficulties faced by community groups and childcare facilities in accessing affordable cover.
Independent councillor Máirín McGrath brought forward the motion, and says that insurance companies are “running riot in rural communities”.
