Nenagh Gardai are investigating a break-in at a radio transmission site in North Tipperary.
The incident happened at Tipp FM’s main transmitter on Kilduff near The Devil’s Bit at around 4 am this morning.
The intruders, believed to be more than one, cut the lock on the main gate before breaking the lock on the main transmitter door thus activating the alarm and then cut the lock on the generator door.
Nothing was taken during the incident and there was no other immediate damage bar the broken locks.
However a Nenagh gardai are fully investigating the incident and anybody who noticed suspicious activity in the Kilduff area last night or indeed over the coming nights is asked to contact them immediately.
