Borrisokane to benefit from new fire station

Borrisokane looks set to benefit from a new fire station in the town.

The purchase of an adjacent site to the current facility is going through – and it’s hoped a new purpose built station will take the place of the old one.

Currently there are minimal training facilities for fire officers on site – with no training room or yard – and some equipment is housed in a shed out the back of the building.
