Attempts to overturn GDPR ruling on STGH visits unsuccessful

Recent efforts to allow priests to visit patients at South Tipp General have failed.

Due to new GDPR regulations members of the clergy were not allowed to visit patients without permission from their families.

The Council had written the HSE encouraging them to engage with members of the priesthood though it was never acknowledged.
