Appeal lodged against South Tipperary sports club proposals

An appeal has been lodged against plans put forward by a GAA club in South Tipperary.

The County Council granted conditional approval to the Kilsheelan – Kilcash club to develop two new playing fields and the retention of ball catching nets.

However the planning authority refused permission for a dwelling on the club lands at Kilsheelan Village and Cloughcarrigeen West.

An appeal has been lodged with An Bord Pleanala against the decision in the name of Bill Scanlon and Others.

A decision is due from the state planning appeals board in early July.
