Tipperary animal rights activists call for road ban on horses

The call from the Action for Animal Welfare Ireland group was in reaction to the latest incident involving a sulky in Clonmel.

The images of a youth standing over a pony lying on the road drew condemnation from many in the Premier County.

Speaking on Tipp Today this morning Anne Williamson of the welfare group couldn’t find the sense in driving such a young horse on the road.
