Concerns are being raised about the abuse of horses and sulky racing in Tipperary.
In 2016, there were 2125 horses either seized, reclaimed, re-homed or euthanized across the country – 129 of those were in Tipperary.
Of the 31 Local Authorities surveyed, Tipperary had the fifth highest number of euthanized horses in 2016 at 122.
