There are calls for Minister of State Alan Kelly to use his influence to secure funding for road improvements in North Tipperary.
Independent County Councillor Jim Ryan says despite the best efforts of local authority outdoor staff, they are not in a position to repair or even maintain local and regional roads.
He says the cut in funding and the recruitment embargo are combining to make the situation even worse.
