Anger continues over work at County Tipperary housing estate

Resurfacing work was carried out at Galtee View estate in Bansha last month following which local people expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the work.

At the time there were calls from some members of the Tipperary – Cashel Municipal District that the contractor not be paid for the works until the job was fixed.

The issue was raised once again at this weeks meeting of the local authority where District Engineer Aidan Finn said that the Ralumac material used settles down with use but that this will take some time in the Bansha estate due to the lack of traffic.

The matter is due back before the council at their September meeting but Sinn Fein representative Martin Browne isn't convinced that time will solve the problem.
