The vice-chair of the Public Accounts Committee has accused a Tipperary County Councillor of trying to make political gain from the financial scandal at the Garda training college.
The Dáil committee is due to hold further hearings on the controversy this week.
Tipperary TD Alan Kelly has hit out at comments made by Roscrea Councillor Michael Smith on Tipp FM last week.
The Fianna Fáil representative was highly critical of what he described as Deputy Kelly’s “negative” comments in relation to the Garda College accusing him of doing a disservice to Templemore.
Speaking on Tipp Today Alan Kelly was quick to hit back.
