The newly re-elected chairperson of North Tipp IFA says agriculture has to remain a key part of Ireland’s future.

Imelda Walsh remains at the helm of the farming organisation for a third term following the recent AGM.

There have been suggestions that the national herd should be cut by 50% over the coming years.

However Imelda Walsh says the whole green debate has to focus on more than just the agri-sector.
