Former North Tipp IFA Chairman Tim Cullinan has been elected the IFA’s new national treasurer.

He was elected at the association’s AGM in Dublin this afternoon, and is set to replace outgoing treasurer Joe Bergin.

The pig farmer beat competition from Sean O’Leary, outgoing dairy chairman, south Leinster chairman James Murphy and Galway chairman Pat Murphy.

In his former position as North Tipp chair, Tim Cullinan was instrumental in highlighting tough farm inspections in his area by Department of Agriculture officials.
