25 dead in Ukraine violence

Ukraine's Health Ministry says 25 people are now dead following the worst violence in the country for weeks.

Police moved in to clear protesters from Kiev's Independence Square overnight, and came under fire from protesters throwing paving stones and Molotov cocktails.

The clashes follow months of protests over President Yanukovich's decision to move closer to Russia – rather than the EU.
