Tipp Today – Monday 5th February 2018

In the first hour of this mornings Tipp Today we spoke with Ronan Quirke about sport news from the weekend. Then in relation to the topic of home owners arming themselves to protect their homes and families we spoke to a man about his experience of having a gun pulled on him . We also spoke to Joe Leahy about the proposed abolishment of solitary confinement in prisons. We also spoke to a caller in relation to Match day traffic and parking in Thurles.

In the second hour of this mornings Tipp Today we spoke to John G O’Dwyer about The Murphy Collection. We then listened to Fran and Jumpers trip to the vets. We also spoke to Tipp Deputy Alan Kelly in relation to the Nation Planning Framework and Broadband. We then spoke to David Shanahan and Paula Carney Hoffler from Tipperary Chamber.

In the final hour of this mornings Tipp Today we had our cooking slot with Paddy Fahy. We then spoke to John O’Brien about his upcoming fundraiser which is an Alzheimars Seminar at Cashel Mart. We were joined by Bernie Walsh to hear about the aftermath of the Mock Wedding which took place over the weekend. We also spoke to Tommy Marren about his new play which has been touring Ireland for just over two years, ‘Nobodys Talking to Me’. Finally we spoke to a caller from Terryglass about the protest taking place outside the County Council offices in Nenagh today in relation to the conditions of the roads in the region.
