Tipperary man in court for neglecting his dog

    Joseph Needham with an address at 3 Abbey Court, Fethard pleaded guilty at Clonmel District Court to two offences.

    He was fined €250 and ordered to pay a further €850 in costs

    ISPCA inspectors discovered the dog after a report from a member of the public in March of last year.

    32 year old Needham claimed he fed the dog daily but admitted not seeking veterinary treatment despite her losing weight.

    The dog – a Staffordshire bull terrier called Miller – had to be put down.
