Tipperary people in receipt of HAP Payments are being let down by landlords.
That’s the view of Tipp TD Mattie McGrath who says it’s no coincidence that once a prospective renter informs the landlord that they’re in receipt of the payment, ‘all lines of communication suddenly close.’
Three tenants have been recently awarded compensation after the Workplace Relations Commission found they had been discriminated against by a landlord who refused to accept HAP.
