Concerns have been raised over the impact of a pipeline with statutory status to the Premier County.

The pipeline from Parteen to Dublin was given Statutory status as part of the National Spacial Strategy 2040 in 2007.

The proposed pipeline would deliver 330 million litres of treated water to Dublin.

At a cost of 1.4 billion euro Councillor Seamie Morris feels the money could be better spent.
