A major upgrade of the facilities at the Canon Hayes Centre in Tipp Town will give a new lease of life to the centre.
The allocation of 112 thousand Euro in Leader funding will be used to develop a new 3G synthetic all weather pitch.
The development is expected to generate significant amount of extra revenue for the centre.
Chairman of the Canon Hayes Centre Martin Quinn says it will create a whole new dimension for the facility.
