Tipp TD calls for Brexit Minister

The impact of Brexit on the agriculture sector in Tipperary has been highlighted in the Dáil.

Agriculture Minister Michael Creed outlined the steps being taken to support and safeguard against the fallout from Britains decision to leave the European Union.

Tipperary Independent Deputy Mattie McGrath said rural TDs are regularly meeting those involved in the agri sector who have been hit by
poor harvests and poor milk prices in recent years.

He said the Brexit issue needed to be tackled by a dedicated Government Minister.

However Minister Creed said the Brexit issue was simply too big for one Minister to deal with.
