Man points gun at Meter Installer in Clare

The man in his 50's is being questioned by Gardaí in Ennis following the alleged incident in Clarecastle this morning. At around 9.20 this morning, Gardaí were called to a house at Key Road, Clarecastle where workers had arrived to install an Irish Water Meter 
Gardaí are investigating reports that the worker had a rifle pointed at him by a local resident, though no shots were fired and no one was injured in the incident. 
The resident was arrested and taken to Ennis Garda Station where he's still being held for questioning under Section 30 of the Criminal Justice Act.
In a follow up search Gardaí recovered a fire arm from the river – It’s not known whether the rifle was loaded and it's now being sent for technical examination.
