Disappointment as Tipp Town company relocates to Limerick.

A senior council official is encouraging Tipperary based companies who may be experiencing difficulties to get in touch with them.

The comments from the Director of Services in Community and Economic Development come in the wake of the departure of DSM Ltd from Tipp Town.

They have relocated to Limerick from their base at Rossmore Village due in part to issues with broadband.

The company – which employs 25 people – say they hope to return to County Tipperary once a suitable location can be found.

However Sinead Carr says a lot of money has been spent on improving broadband services in Tipp Town and pointed to a lack of contact from DSM before they decided to relocate.
